We perceive pruning and trimming as two different offerings; performing trimming to a tree is mainly for aesthetic feature, while aesthetic value can be obtained through pruning; however, pruning will offer your trees so much more as far as positive attributes. Proper pruning is the golden key to arboriculture vitality. It is more important to keep your trees free and clear. of deadwood, stressed/weighted branches, and major sprout growth.

We recommend pruning every 3–5 years on mature trees and every 2–3 years. onyouth/growing trees. Pruning is our middle name, it is what we seek, strongly encourage, and what we proudly believe that separates us from just another ordinary tree service.

Needle Cast Disease

Needle Cast is a term used to describe a group of fungal diseases that affect coniferous trees, leading to the premature shedding or “casting” of needles. These diseases can cause significant aesthetic and economic damage, particularly in Christmas tree farms, ornamental landscapes, and forestry plantations. Rhizosphaera needle cast is a fungal disease of spruce trees that causes needles to turn brown and fall off. Trees stressed from drought, poor planting practices or other factors are more likely to suffer from Rhizosphaera needle cast. Trees can be protected with properly timed fungicide applications. Several other fungi cause symptoms very similar to Rhizosphaera and correct identification is important.

Emerald Ash Borer

Agrilus Planipennis, commonly known as the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a green jewel beetle native to northeastern Asia. It was accidentally brought to the U.S. in wooden shipping crates in 2002. This Asian beetle infests, and feeds on Northern American Ash species. The female lays eggs in the bark crevices, and the larvae feed on the cambium layer of the Ash tree, this kills the tree from the inside out by depriving the tree of its own natural resource and compromises the vascular flow of the trees ability to photosynthesize properly. Ash trees that have been infested with EAB can die within 2-4 years if not treated with PHC solutions. Dead Ash trees should be removed immediately in order to prevent harmful, and inevitable breakage that will occur as the tree continues to dry out and become frail. Even though the epidemic is slowly diminishing due to the Ash trees verge of extinction, the borer is still prevalent as there are Ash species to feast on for the beetle’s food source.
